Chrome SLOTOCHROM DR 1140
Chrome SLOTOCHROM DR 1140 is an electrolyte designed for depositing decorative chromium layers with a maximum thickness of 0.2 µm.
Key Features:
-
Trivalent Chromium: Operates on Cr(III) compounds, eliminating the use of hexavalent chromic acid, which improves environmental and worker safety.
-
Reduced Environmental Impact: No need for separate effluent engineering or Cr(VI) reduction, simplifying wastewater treatment.
-
Sulfate-Based: The electrolyte is sulfate-based and free from ammonia.
-
PFOS-Free: Does not contain PFOS (PFT) wetting agents, avoiding restrictions for decorative chrome plating.
-
Appearance: Chrome coatings are light and closely resemble those produced by traditional Cr(VI) electrolytes.
-
Superior Performance: Offers significantly better metal distribution, coverage, and throwing power compared to conventional chromic acid-based electrolytes.
-
Reduced Burning: Less prone to burning at high current density areas, minimizing the need for auxiliary anodes or shields.
-
No Plugging Required: Unlike traditional chrome electrolytes, there is no need to close drill holes or other perforations with plugs.
